The panel led by nationalist leader, Mohan Baidya ‘Kiran’ of Unified Maoists’ Party, has declared formation of a separate ‘fighting force’ comprising of dissatisfied, UNMIN disqualified Militias and some YCL cadres.
The unit thus formed will be called as ‘Janasevak Bureau’ was declared amid a program in Lalitpur, April 24, 2012.
Party Leader Netra Bikram Chand ‘Biplav’ currently heads a 17 member committee that drives the unit.
Speaking at the program said party general secretary Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ observed that “the unit was necessary because YCL has become ineffective”.
Reports Annapurna Post quoting General Secretary Thapa, “We have observed that the party leadership has diverted itself too far from our revolt objectives. The role of youth is primarily to complete the unfinished revolution.”
According to Ms. Uma Bhujel- vice coordinator of the bureau, the youths shall be used to provide security, if necessary.
“We will support the people in their productive activities and raise voice in favour of people,” also said Bhujel.
“The unit is a youth organization. It will be extended gradually to the states, districts and up to the villages. The unit shall provide security when we march in our mission,” former PLA third-division commander Uday Bahadur Chalaune told Annapurna.
“The organization will play the role similar to YCL,” concluded Chalaune.
